  1. The Vampire Diaries by L.J. Smith
The Vampire Diaries is a great book. This book contains a near fatal love triangle between Elena Gilvert and the Salvator brothers, Damon and Stefan. After losing her parents Elena is ready to remove the chaos and confusion from her life, but when Stefan Salvator, the new kid in school, shows up, she falls for him not realizing that he had a deadly secret...he's a vampire. To make things worse his brother Damen is stalking her because she looks like Katherine, the one who changed the brothers. To make things even more complicated, she's falling for him too. Which brother will Elena choose and could her choice mean she'll lose her humanity? written by Mary Shields

  2. Raven's Gate By Alesha S.
A story of a teenage boy named Matt Freeman who has a friend that always gets him into trouble. One day the trouble is taken too far and not by Matt, but by his "friend" Kelvin. Matt is put up on trial for the crime he didn't even commit, but rather become a bystander.
He is sent away to a foster home that's part of a new government program called, "The Leaf Project." He soon discovers something that he wasn't even expecting and discovers that the Raven's Gate has a lot more involved in it then he bargained for and that he's become part of something much bigger then he wanted. It's a confusing mess that he can never back down from as he has been tied to it his entire life.

  3. Cirque Du Freak: A Living Nightmare By Darren Shan
The first book of the series of Cirque Du Freak is a type of book that just sucks you in. Darren Shan is just like every other young school boy that loves to hang out with his three best friends. Then one day, one of his friends shows them an invitation that he found to go to the “Cirque Du Freak,” a weird, mysterious freak show. They can only get two tickets to the show and the four of them will have to fight for the tickets. When Darren gets a ticket, it seems like luck. However it is really just the beginning of his terrifying and long journey into a world of vampires. The dangers that Darren has to go through and what his friendship costs him in the end, is strangely addicting. It keep’s you wanting more.
